Exclusive “NotchBox” Xbox Pictures

During MineCon, I was able to take some nice pictures of the “NotchBox” Xbox thanks to Favorlock who received this as a gift during the closing ceremony of the convention. This is only 1 of 3 Minecraft themed Xboxes in the world and the only one that is completely signed by Mojang. Enjoy the pics!

Important Server Review Update! (Pre Episode 25)

Scoring now is up to 100 with each category scoring up to 25! More numbers to get more specific with each server. We have 3 episodes done and will slowly release them this next few weeks. Enjoy!

Epic Minecraft Creations: Forbidden City, China Replica

Showing off some epic creations in some of the popular Minecraft servers. Todays epic creation we looked at was the Forbidden City Replica. This city is HUGE with over 4.2 Million placed blocks so far. Over 50 volunteers helped on the map and no non vanilla plugins were used making it. The city takes 15 minutes to walk to walk through and over 1,500+ hours have been spent building so far. Created by Bohtauri on play.minecraftworlds.info and video was produced with their permission to share.

Deadmau5 sure loves his Minecraft! (SF 10/29/2011 Tour Video)

I had to share this with you all as I was amazed by all of the Minecraft animations in Deadmau5′s concert. He sure loved Minecraft and loves using it in his live shows. I was front row center the entire performance and was able to film on my phone. The audio was distorted because I was standing next to 4 18″ subs and did the best I can to make it somewhat listenable. I was amazed on how well the iPhone 4s was able to capture the LEDs while having “low” light. Anyways enjoy and maybe you will see it in person someday!

Minecraft Epic Creations: LADYMAU5 Super Coaster

Showing off some epic creations in some of the popular Minecraft servers. Todays epic creation we looked at was the Ladymau5 Super Coaster. This coaster was 10,032 minecart rails and the ride time is about 18 minutes (without lag). Created by Spongemandan and Razzledgirl on mau5ville.com and video was produced with their permission to share.

Site moving over to V2 starting now

We are starting to upgrade the site today and this is what you can expect:

- MCServerReview.com will turn into a blog video site only (long term temporally).
- MCServerReviewS.com (note the s) will become the new reviewing site.
- All servers that are reporting online on my site will be moved over manually (Reviews WILL NOT be moved over. I put in alot of thought into this and found that most of the reviews are outdated aka months old. However, I will not delete them here on this site. You are welcome to copy your old review and paste it in the v2 site. This will be only be temporally for a month or so.)
No account needed to review BUT you need to verify your email to post it! (another feature request)
- Any server that is offline will be not moved over from the site.
- Any pending servers that was submitted within the last 2 months will be added to the V2 site
- New V2 site will not require a login (but need a valid email to review to confirm identity)
- Live dynamic images to share on your website to show the current scores of your server!
- Server Owner Logins are now added to manage your listing, advertise and add in responses for negative (or positive) reviews.
- New top 100 lists for sever types, like RP, creative, survival, economy and more (this was a major feature request).
- New review scales for our video series (scoring out of 100 now for less of the same numbers and more diverse scores)
- Servers that been reviewed in the past are eligible to be reviewed again with this new score.
- New forum system running XenForo

This transition should take about a few weeks and once we open, our MCTSR show will start back up in full swing!
